Botox / Dysport

But with repetitive muscle movements of the face we can create wrinkles and fine lines. The wrinkles created by muscle movement are called “dynamic wrinkles”  and with time they can lead to deeper, set, “static wrinkles” which do not disappear at rest. A quick and easy way to slow down the progression and treat wrinkles is with Neurotoxin. At Pure Dermatology we are happy to offer both Botox® and Dysport® for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles.  

What to Expect

Botox and Dysport are very popular, safe treatments with no downtime. Neurotoxin is injected with a tiny needle directly into the muscle to relax the muscle and slow down movement and Botox and Dysport  are neuromodulators administered via tiny injections that soften the appearance of movement-related facial wrinkles. They are made from a naturally occurring protein that has been refined and produced in a lab. These products have been used safely with extremely high patient satisfaction for over 25 years! During treatment, Botox and Dysport are injected directly into the wrinkles. Once injected, they softens the nerve impulses in the surrounding muscles, forcing them to relax instead of contract. As a result, corresponding wrinkles soften and disappear. It usually takes less than 15 minutes to perform Botox or Dysport injections with no downtime, making it the perfect treatment for even the busiest schedules. It usually takes about 3-7 days to see results and treatments should be repeated every 3-4 months.
